Standard Deviation & Percentile

Growth Table in the OB reference data and general distribution of the fetus in the same GA are used

for ﬁnding out the following:

X

normal distribution pattern,

X

measurement values on the actual fetus or distributional position of EFW, and

X

whether the distributional position is within the normal range.

The standard GA for the Growth Table can be set for LMP, Estab. DD, or Average US GA in Pctl.

Criteria. Usually LMP is used.

Note that if LMP is unknown or inaccurate, or if LMP and Average US GA diﬀer greatly, the item

selected as reference in Pctl. Criteria may show a great diﬀerence.

Distribution for the corresponding GA in the Growth Table for the selected reference is horizontally

symmetrical regular distribution with 50% (mean) on either side. It shows the distance from the

mean in terms of deviation. Here, you can check the deviation by Standard Deviation (SD) or

Percentile as set in advance.
