X DPDI Mode: The color bar indicates the direction and speed of blood ow. Relative to the
baseline in the middle, the red color indicates the direction and speed of blood owing toward
the probe. Conversely, the blue color indicates the direction and speed of blood owing away
from the probe.

ROI Box
ROI stands for Region Of Interest. In Power Doppler Mode, ROI indicates the area of the 2D image
where color (blood ow) information is displayed.
PD Mode Soft Menu

Steer
NOTE: The Steer function appears on the menu only when the linear probe is in use.
This minimizes the loss of color information by adjusting the ultrasound beam angle. Select Left,
None, or Right for ROI with the dial-button.

Invert
NOTE: This button becomes active only when screen display method for Power Doppler Mode is
set to ‘DPDI Mode’.
Press the dial-button to invert the color bar in the opposite direction. Inverting the color bar also
inverts the colors displayed on the image.

Frame Avg
When an image is updated, the current and previous images are averaged. Speckles may appear
when the same diagnosis area is scanned continuously. This function is used to minimize such
speckles. Select a value between 0 and 9 with the dial-button. Frame Avg stands for Frame Average.

Harmonic
Press the dial-button to turn it on or o. When turned on, high frequency is used for optimizing the
image. The ‘HRA’ label will be displayed in the image data.
