Chapter 3 Starting Diagnosis
Probes and Applications
Before starting a scan, select a probe and an application.
CAUTION: Refer to ‘Chapter 9. Probes’ for more information on probes and applications supported
by the system.
Probe Selection Menu
Tap the Probe button on the touch panel, and the Probe Selection menu will be displayed on the
screen. From this menu, you can select a probe and an application.
The Probe Selection menu consists of the following items:
1 Probe list: Displays a list of probes currently connected to the system.
2 Application list: Displays a list of applications the selected probe supports.

NOTE: Debris trapped between the probe and the port can cause connection problems. If you
experience a connection problem, attempt to remove any debris and try again.
