This is a basic measurement that is only available in Spectral Doppler Mode. You can specify two bars

on a Spectral Doppler image and calculate the heart rate between them.

1. Select HR from the touch screen’s soft menu. Drag and drop the start point bar and the end point

bar on the touch screen to select the two bars.

2. When measurement has been taken, the results will be displayed on the screen.

Circumference and Area measurement

 Ellipse

This is a basic measurement that is available in all diagnosis modes. You can measure the

circumference and area of a circular (elliptical) object in a 2D image.

1. Select Ellipse from the touch screen’s soft menu.

2. Drag and drop from the start point to the end point of the area that is to be measured on the

touch screen to specify the diameter (axis).

3. Specify the size of the circle (ellipse).

You can adjust the size of the ellipse by selecting the adjustable point in the middle of the

diameter and then dragging & dropping it onto the measurement image.

4. When the measurement is taken, its result is shown on the screen.

Tips!

Resizing the diameter and size of the ellipse

If you haven’t ﬁnished taking the measurement yet, you can resize the diameter and size of the

ellipse by re-designating the points of the ellipse you have measured. Select the ellipse points on

the touch screen, and then drag & drop them to re-designate them; the newly calculated diameter

and size of the ellipse will be displayed on the screen.
