Chapter 7 Diagnosis Modes



Steer Invert

Tap Steer Invert on the touch screen. Tapping the button inverts the angle of the Sample

Volume.

NOTE: Steer Invert is only enabled when using a linear probe.



Scale

Use by rotating the Scale dial-button on the touch screen. Rotating Scale dial-button clockwise

increases the scale, extending the range of blood ow speed. Rotating the dial-button in the

counter-clockwise decreases the scale, displaying a narrower range of blood ow speed.



Sensitivity

It enhances sensitivity and accuracy or frame rate of color images.

Adjust the Sensitivity value between 0 and 5 by using the Sensitivity dial-button on the touch

screen.



Filter

Select Filter on the touch screen or use the dial-button on the control panel to select a value

between 1 and 4.

This is an electric lter to remove the low-frequency doppler signals generated by the

movement of blood vessel walls. Adjust the Cuto Frequency to remove doppler signals whose

frequency is lower than the cuto frequency.



BaseLine

Rotating the dial-button clockwise increases the Baseline. In Color Doppler mode, the color

bar indicates the direction and speed of blood ow. Based on the Baseline at the middle, red

indicates the direction and speed of blood ow toward the probe. By contrast, the blue color

indicates the direction and speed of blood ow away from the probe.



Color Map

Used to congure the post curve in a color image. Select a value between 1 and 12 by using the

Color Map dial-button on the touch screen. This can help to display blood ow with greater

clarity.
