Digital Still Camera Mode
+ The Format function works only in M.Player mode.
+ You can use the memory format functions to completely delete all images and options on the Memory Card, including
protected images.
÷ The format function restores the Memory Card to its initial state.
÷ The Memory Card supplied with this Camcorder has been formatted already.
Attention
÷ If you execute the memory format function, all images will be erased completely and erased
images cannot be recovered.
1. Setthe Power switch to PLAYER.
2. Setthe Mode switch to MEMORY.
3. Press the MENU button.
The menu list will appear.

Move the Menu selector to the left or right to select Memory, then press the Menu selector.

Card), then press the Menu selector. (SC-D455/D457 only) _
If you select Int. Memory or Memory Card, a message All files are deleted ! Do you want to [] D_t_A_

7. Move the Menu selector to the left or right to select Yes, then press the Menu selector.

8. TOexit, press the MENU button.

Ifyou executethe Formatfunction,allstillimages/motionclipswill beerasedcompletelyand erased
still images/motionclipscannotbe recovered.
Formattingthe MemoryCard usinga differentdevicewill causeMemoryCard readerrors.
Formattingthe MemoryCard deletesall thestored datain the MemoryCard.
Donot turnthe poweroff inthe middle of theformatting.
A MemoryStickwiththe protectiontab setto save will not beformatted.(see page 86)
Donot formatthe MemoryCard on a PC.
'Not Formatted"messagemayappear ifa MemoryCardformattedon a PCwas inserted.
